What happened to me (AFAICT), was that I aborted a test, while it was
running, and the bbstored process had been started (and daemonized), but
I killed the script before it could shut it down. So, the process was
staying around, and holding on to the bbstored socket. Whenever the
tests tried to start a bbstored process, it would die, because it
couldn't access the socket.

So it was the same (old) bbstored process that kept hanging around
through about 25 test runs, until I noticed it. After it was gone,
everything was hunky-dory again.
