Don't forget new stuff such as infrastructure/m4 etc.

I've thought about Trac before (I've used it elsewhere). I think it
would be great to get that set up, and it integrates well with svn. I
didn't suggest it because I've no idea how much work it is to install,
and thought it might be overkill. But if you can set it up without too
much hassle I'm sure we'd see the benefits. (Although once you set up
an issue tracking system it's always scary to see how many issues there
really are - it does seem to make them multiply!)

I thought one of Chris's trees had updated vcproj files etc, but I may
have just got confused.

Yes, though sqlite seems fairly common these days. Also it's true
public domain code, so leaves plenty of options open for embedding it
etc.
