[Box Backup-dev] Boxi service?

Hi Chris,

I just wanted to double check whether boxi is planned to have a
boxbackup service installer and starter (perhaps under a new "Service"
tab), such that boxi could be launched to do all the setup (including
installing and starting the service), and then closed leaving the
boxbackup service running essentially in perpetuity, to be launched
again to do bbackupquery and bbackupdctl functions on an as-needed
basis.

(Hmm, I thought I should check my services.msc and I see that I have a
Box Backup service there. Looks like I have a remnant from a prior box
backup installation, so I deleted it in the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services )

Thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete and all,

The pre-pre-release is available at:

This is a very early work in progress. It's a Windows-only binary,
built
using MinGW from the current Subversion sources. I know that it has
plenty
of bugs. I'm still finding bugs with my unit tests, so bug reports are
probably not useful right now. On the other hand, feature suggestions,
questions and ideas are very welcome. I hope to have an improved
version
available within a few weeks.

Cheers, Chris.
