Unfortunately that's not enough for cygwin. The cygwin versions appear to 
be equally broken.

What kind of new features?

Would you mind changing it back? I think it's a good idea. Perhaps the 
limit should be different, e.g. 250 kB, given the relatively small number 
of people on the -commit list.
