[Box Backup] Problems with Compiling

When I try to set up box backup on Redhat 9 I run into the following
problem. Running the configure works fine no errors but when I do a make I
get the following error

I am using gcc version 3.2.2

Type 'cd <module_dir>; make' to build a module
Type 'make' to build the installation parcels.
Then use the install scripts inside parcels/<dir> to install
the components you need.
