[Box Backup] Upgrading from 0.07 -> 0.08

I'm planning on upgrading to 0.08, but I'd like to understand the 
dependencies:

I know that I won't be able to upgrade the server first, and then the 
clients, but can I go the other way (0.08/0.07 clients against 0.07 
server)?

Or do I have to stop everything, and then upgrade?
