Sorry, no, it's been added since 0.10. You should not need to do anything 
extra to get the extended logs in your syslog. Perhaps your syslog 
filtering is set up incorrectly? Try something like this in 
/etc/syslog.conf:

   local6.*    -/var/log/box

and then check /var/log/box for extended logs.
