/me thinks this would really create a format mess of monumental dimensions.
("What do you mean your server doesn't support binXML for SAX2 to process my
purchase order?").

IMHO for things that were not designed for binXML from the beginning, binXML
only makes sense within a controlled environment. Also, I don't think the
added value of binXML is large enough for most applications to make it a
standard format as widely accepted as textXML.
