If so, how come I can write the directory contents, and access the 
server with it??? Shouldn't the server deny all and any access if the 
key is wrong??

Anyway, no, re-signed the csr file and transfered the client and 
serverCA cert to the client, same errors ...

Could it be the openssl versions? I have .9.7e on the client, 0.9.7d on 
the server ...
