Yes, I can fix it, but I have a suspicion it won't be the only remaining 
problem, and I hate to send you (and the mailing list) around and around 
in this compile-fixing loop.

I would love to be able to test this version on a MacOS X system, so that 
I can fix any remaining compile errors and runtime test failures myself 
without wasting everyone's time. Unfortunately the only option that I have 
is Sourceforge's Compile Farm, and currently ALL 3 of their MacOS X boxes 
are down. How's that for reliability? ;-)

Is there any chance I could get a shell account on a MacOS X box from 
anyone here, so that I can get this new version working properly there?
