[Box Backup] Housekeeping hogging the server

this is probably not a solution, but it may be interesting anyway:
we had our first boxbackup server on an externally-hosted machine
with an HTTP and IMAP server for internal use on it besides Box.
Every time it ran housekeepings, connections were dropped, as the
load was between 3-8; actually it the CPU was 95-99% waiting for IO.
I think it's either a kernel or hardware problem; I moved the backups
to an old machine in our office (which is probably 2-3 times 'slower'
than the original server, both have 1 CPU), and on that machine
the highest load I've seen was 0.30; and that in spite of the fact
that the backup volume had doubled meanwhile...
