That's different from what your previous email had, reproduced below:

checking for library containing gethostbyname... none required
checking for library containing shutdown... none required
checking openssl/ssl.h usability... no
checking openssl/ssl.h presence... no
checking for openssl/ssl.h... no
checking for SSL_read in -lssl... no
configure: error: OpenSSL is not installed but is required

Suggest you check again how it is configured, and check that large  
file support is enabled.
