Couple of good things in the news this morning:

1. Steve Jobs wants to distribute DRM-free music and further, he wants the
EU to apply pressure to the record companies (Universal is French, EMI is
British, Sony is half German) to allow him so to do.

2. The Conservative Party here has stated that it will scrap any ID card
scheme that Labour start to implement. If this turns up in their General
Election manifesto, I will be voting Conservative. If they also do the right
thing with road pricing, I'll vote for them twice.
