Hi Ashton,

As I've told Admin on several occasions, I agree this would be a good 
thing.  But he's been reticent in our conversations about it.

There are some complications that go along with a 
subscription/membership model.  For instance, I'm sure the pressure on 
him would be even greater if there were another extended outage, and 
that may not be worth the benefits right now.  Imagine a reversed 
variation of, "I can't argue with you unless you've paid."  IOW, some of 
us might (intentionally or not) get cranky with Admin if there are 
uptime issues after paying.

Let's hold our horses on funding a little longer.  We can hash that out 
some more when chutney's humming along on its wire.

My $0.02.
