Exactly. I don't see many movies. i grew up without a TV and too
poor to indulge, in movies and never picked up the habit since. I
*really* have not enjoyed the few horror and/or thriller type movies
that I have seen over the years. (For instance the original Indiana
Jones left me with nightmares for several months.) Sitting in a seat
experiencing adrenaline is simply not my idea of a good time. (Heck,
I don't even like the mild rush you get with situation comedy.) Given
that, no matter how good it is, the odds that I would enjoy Alien are
essentially nil.
I accept that it is good. I grant that it is a classic. However even
if I had the time, I'd be about as likely to volunteer to see it as I
would to ask my dentist to leave off the anesthetic.
