[IWE] Could Brokaw be any more obviously in McCain's pocket?

I thought Ifill was much better at running her debate than Brokaw was
tonight. Perhaps Tom just thought he was being polite to both, but he
(perhaps unconsciously) was much more deferential to McCain than Obama.
Brokaw sounded like a 12 year old when he kept whining about the time
and the rules.

Obama won easily, IMO. McCain was less coherent than usual. Sullivan
thought Obama wiped the floor with McCain. I don't know if it was that
much of a drubbing, but it was a big defeat for him.

Yeah, there was some of that. Obama got tripped up in his sentences a
few times (like when he was talking at the end about the opportunities
he had, he said something like "There's no other place in America where
I'd have those opportunities." when he meant "on Earth"). It's one of
his standard lines. But McCain had more mangled sentences than that.
What was with McCain when he said that he wouldn't appoint Brokaw to be
Treasury Secretary??? Was that supposed to be funny?
Anyway, it wasn't a game-changer for McCain. I doubt it'll help him
much in the polls, so I expect his recent attacks on Obama will continue.
Cheers,
Scott.
