[Box Backup] Compare and XLS files.
Tue, 15 Nov 2005 07:58:17 +1000
Hi Ben thanks,
Downloading the file diff says that there are differences
but the File sizes appear to be the same. I think that you are right =
the changes to office files but not actual changes. These files have not
been modified in a while but they do not get uploaded? Doe the bbackupd
daemon not recognize that as a diff??? I will post back in a week after =
another compare. Thanks aging for your prompt assistance. If it was not =
your prompt response then this group would not be as effective as it is.

Try downloading a file using bbackupquery, and comparing it with diff.
Look at the timestamps. Is it possible that the file hasn't been =20
uploaded to the server yet?
(MS Office tends to make changes to files, even if you only open them =20
and make no changes before closing.)
