Ok, so setting the soft and hard limit to the same value eliminates the elegded bug that started this discussion?

And then deleted files that are x days old that were deleted on the source disk just like it was configured?

If so that makes it stabel enough for met to trust my files to BB.

The softlimit and the housekeeping version might be a nice feature.
But only on backup environment that do not change a lot and where you have to check the backup reguraly.
I'd like "set and forget" my backups and that seems to be stable for BB.
